Who is allowed to enter details in the Leichtbauatlas?
Any organisation - e.g. companies, research institutions, associations or networks - active in the field of lightweighting can enter details into the Atlas. These include organisations which develop or manufacture lightweight materials, which sell plant and machinery to process such materials, or which deploy lightweighting processes.
The Leichtbauatlas uses more than 300 criteria to make it as easy as possible for people to find your organisation. You can use these criteria to precisely categorise your lightweighting expertise, so that other users searching for those criteria will then be able to find you.
You are responsible for keeping your data up-to-date. However, the Leichtbauatlas administrators are permitted to edit your details or to give you guidance on how to revise them.
Can several users edit an organisation?
Yes, an organisation can be edited by several users. You can use the function “Manage access rights” to add more editors and their email accounts. Please note that each additional editor must also be registered in the Leichtbauatlas.
Can the access data be transferred?
No, each organisation has an editor. Additional editors can be added via the “Manage access rights” function. For security reasons, it is not possible to transfer the access data to another user. If you wish to take over the management of an existing organisation, you must therefore contact the administrators of the Leichtbauatlas via info@leichtbauatlas.de.

How can I enter my details in the Leichtbauatlas?
Before you can set up an organisation, you need to register using your name and email account (https://Leichtbauatlas.de/en/sign_up/). You will be sent an email requesting confirmation. Once you have given that confirmation, your user account will be activated. You will now be able to log in to your account via the Login button or the link https://leichtbauatlas.de/en/manage/login. Once you are in your user account, you can set up one or more organisations and subsequently manage them.
I can’t release my organisation.
Your organisation must be complete before you can release it. Your organisation is complete when all the processing symbols (pen) are coloured blue on the data entry screen. If any of the symbols are still red, some required fields still need to be filled out.
Why is my organisation marked as “incomplete”?
All of the required fields in the data entry screen are marked with a red symbol (pen). Once a required field has been completed, the symbol turns blue. In many cases, people forget to add important data about the organisation’s logo or further added images. Here, too, the symbol doesn’t turn blue until all the details (title, description and source of image) have been added. These details are required for legal reasons and to make it easier for people who require technical assistance to use the Leichtbauatlas.
Why can’t I see the “Release organisation” function?
Two conditions need to be met for the “Release organisation” function to appear:

Your organisation must be complete. Your organisation is complete when all the processing symbols (pen) are coloured blue on the data entry screen. If any of the symbols are still red, some required fields still need to be filled out.

You need the rights to release the organisation. When you register, the administrators will assign the rights to release the organisation. Until these rights have been assigned, organisations cannot be released even if they are complete. If you still have the problem after two working days, please contact the Leichtbauatlas administrators via info@leichtbauatlas.de .
I can’t find my organisation on leichtbauatlas.de.
New or altered organisations cannot be viewed immediately on the website. If you have finished adding or altering details of your entry, you need to forward it to the administrators using the “Release organisation” function. Only the administrators can publish an organisation. Generally, your organisation will be available for viewing in the Leichtbauatlas within two working days.
My organisation is not displayed correctly on the map of the Leichtbauatlas.
The Leichtbauatlas uses an external service to “stick the pin” into the map. This uses a geocoding service to turn the address details into positional data. On rare occasions, there is a miscalculation, and the pin is stuck into the wrong location. In such cases, re-entering the address can correct the error. Please refrain from using multiple street numbers (e.g. “34-38 Commercial Road”). Should your pin continue to be displayed in the wrong place on the map, please contact the Leichtbauatlas administrators via info@leichtbauatlas.de.

Is there any charge for using the Leichtbauatlas?
No - there is no charge for using the Leichtbauatlas, for registering an organisation or managing an account.
